ABOUT US

Farrer Workshop was established by printmaker and jeweller Lisa Jose.

Creative pursuits have always been central to Lisa's life. Growing up in an artistic family she was often covered in clay or paint, and as an adult she is no less passionate (or tidy!).

Lisa came to a creative career via a PhD in archaeology, and many years' experience as an archaeological illustrator on digs in Syria and Turkey. She established her jewellery label, Stuart the Cat Designs, in 2008, and continues to create silver jewellery in her Canberra studio. She discovered printmaking while running a bookshop with her husband in the beautiful Victorian coastal town of Queenscliff.

Nestled between the Farrer Ridge and Mount Taylor nature reserves, Farrer is one of the loveliest parts of Canberra, Australia. Lisa draws inspiration from the abundant birds and animals, and other aspects of life in the Bush Capital. She lives with her husband Mathew, her dog Ellen, and her cat Stuart.
